Champagne Afternoon Tea for Two at Rubens at The Palace
The Rubens brings nobility right to your table with a view of the historic Buckingham Palace and a menu inspired by our very own Royal Family. Since Queen Victoria grew quite fond of a few delicate treats in the afternoon, the indulgence of afternoon tea has captured the nation and spread through the class ranks until it has become a quintessential British tradition that everyone can enjoy! Once you’ve taken your seats in the opulent palace lounge it’s time for tea! You’ll be served a selection of sandwiches with rich and delicious fillings such as fillet of Castle Mey beef with horseradish cream as well as freshly baked scones including Her Majesty’s much-loved jam pennies, and a range of homemade pastries that include the mouth-watering diamond chocolate biscuit cake – a favourite of both Prince William and Prince Harry. Of course, a range of spectacular tea blends are on offer, but no afternoon tea is complete without a few bubbles so enjoy sipping on a crisp, chilled glass of Lanson Brut champagne.
